Campaign Director

Serco

Position Description & Qualifications

You know how to win—commanding the room as the public face of the campaign while quietly running the disciplined, repeatable system that delivers results.

As Campaign Director , you will lead a high-stakes, end-to-end campaign designed to achieve specific strategic outcomes. You’ll shape the strategy, select the must-win pursuits, orchestrate cross-functional execution, and drive measurable improvements in PWin, pipeline health, and long-range growth for a campaign. This role is for a leader who is relentless about outcomes, thrives in ambiguity, and can rally teams to win in complex government environments. Your success will be measured by the achievement of 3- and 5-year strategic objectives that are underpinned by quarterly and annual campaign actions.

What You’ll Lead

Lead all aspects of a strategic campaign to deliver defined objectives, including:

  • Build the campaign strategy grounded in market intelligence, customer budgets, and competitive analysis.
  • Select and shape the “right-to-win” pursuits—identify pipeline opportunities that will define the campaign and focus resources accordingly.
  • Drive pursuit excellence in close partnership with Pursuit/Bid Teams—improving PWin through disciplined win strategies, clear value propositions, and competitive positioning.
  • Own the investment plan required to win: ensuring technical/product inputs, talent, capital, marketing, and bid development needs are met; manage tradeoffs with rigor and transparency.
  • Set the customer relationship strategy across the campaign; ensure call plans and engagement rhythms are executed and producing outcomes.
  • Develop campaign branding and messaging with marketing/communications—ensure the campaign narrative is differentiated, credible, and compelling.
  • Run the operating cadence—regularly update and present campaign strategy, pipeline, investments, risks, and financial outcomes; adjust fast as facts change.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in government contracting (BD/capture/program/operations leadership)
  • Proven strength in strategy development and strategy execution (not just planning)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed teams to outcomes
  • Strong capability in customer relationship building and senior-level stakeholder engagement
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills; comfortable briefing internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet customers and industry partners as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S Passport

Preferred/Highly Desired Experience

  • Program work in austere or remote environments (or leading teams that operate there)
  • Experience working with political constituents and navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems
  • Background in facility or equipment installation, maintenance, and modernization (planning through execution)

Leadership Traits We’re Actively Seeking

  • Relentless, Outcomes-Driven Competitor – you focus on winning, not just activity or process, internalizing success and failure as personal accountability
  • Strategic Architect and Execution Driver – you can create strategy, as well as translate strategy into wins
  • Systems Thinker – you are able to create repeatable campaign success
  • Cross-Functional Integrator and Team Builder – you will live in a matrix and must unify the team toward a single campaign goal
  • Executive-Level Communicator – you are both a strategist and a standard-bearer—internally and with customers
