Apply today and see why Friedman is the right choice for the next step in your career!We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Commercial or Multi-Family Accounting Team.Responsibilities include full charge accounting for several commercial or multi-family properties. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to the following:Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and various other reports as required by ownership/management.G/L account analysis and review.Annual budget preparation.Variance analysis.Coding invoices for accounts payable and review of the A/P input.Ensuring compliance with the management contracts.Maintain building and review & interpret lease files.Completion of CAM & RET Reconciliations (Only CM).Completion of YE Tax Workpapers.Assist with the acquisition and disposition of assets.Ability to work in a team environment and independently.Ability to effectively communicate with property management and company management.Special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Controller and/or CFO.Ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to meet deadlines, in addition to:Two or more years of real estate accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Experience in Yardi or equivalent program is a plus.Good time management skills.Must have the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision to complete accounting duties and tasks successfully.Friedman Real Estate is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
