Operations/Sales Operations Manager - CNC/Estimations (Pre-sales, RFQ)Direct Hire/PERM LOCATION - Work is ONSITE in the PENINSULA area, near San Mateo, CA ( Sorry, no Hybrid/Remote work offered at this time)We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager/Director to join our team in Bay Area, Peninsula area in a key site leadership role, the Precision Manufacturing industry, supporting clients in the Aerospace, Semiconductor/Tech, and Medical Device spaces.This role is responsible for just about everything, and the right candidate will be experienced team leadership and planning, as well as working with customers on producing cost/pricing estimates for production runs and potential future product manufacturing projects.On the operations side, we need less of a OPS leader, but someone that does bring the production planning including day to day supervision and support of production, sales, and other technical team members.The ideal fit/person should and really NEEDS to have some technical background in manufacturing processes utilized in metal parts production, including but not limited to all precision manufacturing/machine shop operations. A work history with project pricing, working with internal teams to generate ACCURATE cost estimates and quotes for clients as well as both a comfort and an ability to be FRONT FACING/CUSTOMER FACING with regards to capabilities, questions about Quality and deliverability, etc.As the Operations Manager/Director, your day-to-day responsibilities would also include team leadership and direction in a role overseeing and managing all aspects of production operations and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will drive operations and production within a fast-paced environment and ensure efficiency and with Quality being key as we operate with an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified quality management system.You will also be responsible for managing staff, training and development, and budgeting and cost control.What You Need for this PositionTo be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, leading and directing overall plant/manufacturing facility operations and production. Experience at the OPERATIONS MANAGER, PLANT MANAGER, DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING/OPERATIONS is experience at the right level.Senior Leadership/Management experience within an ISO 9001, AS 9100, environment would be ideal, as would previous experience /exposure leadings teams of production/manufacturing/quality, etc. in a CNC/Machine Shop setting that supports Aerospace, and Semiconductor and Medical Device manufacturing.We need a strong leader/strong communicator and a strong MOTIVATOR as you will be managing multiple departments, with different focuses/goals, all with the target of maximum productivity, while maintaining production schedules and required quality standards adherence.Operations leadership duties will also include:* Leading teams, supervisors, departments in day to day and strategic operations.* Working with customers on opportunities for new product offerings and opportunities for expansion.* Keeping an eye and an ear open for plant improvement and process improvement opportunities and working to create implementation plans to put into motion.If you fit the general skillset, and would like to discuss more about both your search goals and my client's hiring needs and what they have to offer, please apply here and/or get in touch with me directly View email address on click.appcast.io and we will connect soon after that.Benefits
