Sign-on Bonus We are offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus to eligible licensed veterinary technician applicants. Job Overview Petcare Hospital and Wellness Center, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is hiring a full‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician. The hospital provides primary care services for dogs and cats in Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Bothell, Snohomish, and Everett. The facility focuses on compassionate, evidence‑based medicine and values a healthy work culture with a fear‑free approach. Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients during outpatient appointments. Assist veterinarians and the medical team with maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow. Collect pertinent health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with practice systems. Perform anesthesia and sedation induction and monitoring, dentistry including dental radiographs and charting, obtain diagnostic radiographs, and provide nursing care as instructed by the DVM to hospitalized patients. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, surgical suite, exam rooms, and labs. Prepare patients, medications and equipment for examinations, surgery, dentistry and sedated procedures. Collect and prepare patient lab samples for in‑house and reference lab diagnostic screening. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, medication administration, and related procedures. Able to enter medical notes and maintain records; minimum typing speed of 45 wpm. Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted. Strong desire to practice empathetic, gold‑standard medicine benefitting patients at all life stages. Positive, kind, and trustworthy communicator with patients, team members, and clients.
