Successful and growing non-profit organization seeks a Chief Philanthropy Officer to join our team.

Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to influence, implement, and execute on the strategic direction pertaining to foundation, government, corporate grants, annual fund, endowments, major gifts, planned giving, gifts processing, data analysis, fundraising events management, and overall donor relations. Creates a culture of giving throughout the organization and community and leads major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs. End results are evaluated for achieving fundraising goals and objectives including fundraising targets and capital campaign activities. Extensive contact with existing and potential donors, corporations, foundations and other organizations is required to meet goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer, sets and achieves annual fundraising goals. • Leads research related to funding sources, establishes prospect lists, and coordinates major gifts and solicitations. • Manages prospect lists, develops and implements stewardship and cultivation strategies, and diversifies support from funding sources

• Explore collaborative partnerships with corporations, foundations, and other organizations to expand the Agency’s network and resources. Identify, establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships, negotiate partnerships, and coordinate joint initiatives.

• Secures major gifts, grants, endowments, or other significant donations for the Agency.

• Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events such as galas, auctions, or charity walks, to generate donations and raise awareness about the organization's work. Manage logistics, secure sponsorships, and coordinate volunteers.

• Develops donor proposals, facilitates asks and leads all major fundraising activities and events.

• Identifies and creates fundraising policies and procedures.

• Identifies, executes and regularly evaluates on all giving programs, donor campaigns and other philanthropic support.

• Regularly networks and attend philanthropic and community events to foster new and existing partnerships.

• Leads and conducts data analysis and identifies trends related to donation and donation sources to increase funding.

• Builds a high-level donor base and utilizes to manage and connects with donors and donation sources. • Represents the Agency in media engagements to enhance visibility.

• Regularly report on fundraising activities, outcomes, and trends for internal and external stakeholders.

• Coordinate with the public relations/communications team to craft messages, written content, and outreach efforts effectively communicating the organization's mission, impact, and fundraising needs to the public, media, and potential donors.

• Remains current in fundraising, grant writing and event planning techniques.

• Maintains regular and consistent attendance.

• Operates standard office equipment and uses the required software applications.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of marketing and communication skills pertaining to philanthropic giving and advancing agency mission and goal.

• Advanced knowledge of financial management techniques.

• Advanced knowledge of fundraising, donor development and grant writing techniques.

• Advanced knowledge of planning, organizing and executing fundraising events.

• Advanced knowledge of donor database management.

• Advanced knowledge of data analysis techniques pertaining to philanthropic giving.

• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

• Quantitative analysis.

• Think strategically, creatively, and analytically.

• Communicate professionally.

• Represent and market Agency in a positive and professional manner to encourage giving.

• Evaluate and manage financial aspects of donations/giving.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, create and execute project timelines, and lead teams in meeting deadlines and implementation schedules.

• Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

• Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed.

• Incorporate needs, wants and goals into successful development campaigns.

• Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.

• Gather information, identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignments

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.

• Required Disciplines:

• Marketing, sales, nonprofit leadership, organizational development, public relations, business management or related field. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in fundraising, grant development, or non-profit leadership. Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
