Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour Job Schedule: Day/Time Mon 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Tue 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across an educational location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns. Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and/or after-hours access while helping to support authorized entry procedures and documenting security-related observations. Work with school administrators, local first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership during drills, escorts, investigations, and incident follow-up as needed. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Have 5 or more years of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
