Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Ottawa, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations while reflecting Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a food and beverage production location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and report potential hazards, unusual activity, and policy concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
