As a Senior Account Supervisor, Earned Media, you will join our unrivaled earned media team leading corporate media strategy and execution for clients in our corporate practice. You will draw from your experience working with top-tier media in service of Fortune 500 clients in order to help our clients reach their business goals and lead to the overall success of our Earned Media & Corporate practices. This role will partner daily with our Corporate Practice in Chicago and report into the EVP, Media Strategy, US. About the Role Client Counselor : Confidently counsel clients and team members on coverage opportunities and media targets. Corporate Storytelling : Craft compelling narratives that break through shifting landscapes across reputation management, business innovation, thought leadership, earnings, etc. Media Strategy Development and Execution : Lead the development and execution of multi‑channel media strategies, understanding and meeting each client’s unique tonality, approach, media comfortability and more. This will include key moments for the company – everything from earnings to personnel announcements to M&A. Student of the Business : Learn and understand key competitors in each client industry including products, unique business challenges, technologies, etc., and have a strong general understanding of the business world. Pitch and Deliver Results : Pitch and secure media coverage and strengthen media savviness of account teams and clients. Lead for On‑Site/In‑Person Media Engagements : Independently host media on site at events, effectively manage media and counsel spokespeople, supervise media interviews, coordinate with off‑site support team and more. Strong Media Contacts : Bring a strong roster of top‑tier and cross‑category media contacts, and build new relationships where needed, that drive real results for our clients’ businesses at the local and national levels. Deep Knowledge of the Media Landscape : Have a pulse on the daily media landscape, insider knowledge and the ability to unearth media opportunities for our clients across the board. Strong focus on retail/grocery, home improvement, and logistics is a plus. Zeno Media Network : Take a lead and active role in developing Zeno Chicago’s Corporate Media offerings through our Zeno Media Network, including thought leadership/IP and media intel. About You 6+ years of media relations experience in an agency or fast‑paced company, supporting Fortune 500 brands; retail, grocery, or home improvement experience a plus. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with national business and top‑tier media. Deep expertise in reputation management and strong understanding of today’s media landscape (traditional and emerging channels). Strong news judgment with the ability to quickly identify and shape “mediable” stories from early ideas. Demonstrated impact linking PR efforts to business outcomes and brand reputation. Robust portfolio of recent earned coverage across national, local, broadcast, print, and digital outlets. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills; able to craft clear, persuasive narratives and presentations. Confident presenter with experience advising clients and delivering new business pitches. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities across clients and internal teams in a fast‑paced environment. Trusted strategic counselor with a burgeoning track record of building credibility with client stakeholders. Forward‑looking perspective on the evolving role of earned media. Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong ownership and follow‑through. Experience mentoring and developing junior team members. Media training experience with executives and spokespeople, a plus. Pay Range Pay Range: $100,000-$120,000 USD/yr. Employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue‑based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
