Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst in Hughes Network Systems division, headquartered in Germantown, MD. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned business areas Support the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range planning processes Perform variance analysis on actual results versus budget and forecast, and explain key business drivers Develop, maintain, and improve financial models used for planning, reporting, and decision support Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement Partner with accounting and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment between reported results and forecasts Prepare presentations and communicate financial insights, risks, and opportunities clearly to management and business partners Support ad hoc financial analysis, profitability reviews, and other special projects as needed Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role Preferred Qualifications Strong Excel and financial modeling skills Solid understanding of financial statements Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to all levels of management Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar planning and reporting tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively across finance, accounting, and business teams Visa sponsorship not available to this role.
