General Engineer

Duties
Provides technical direction, planning, and policy leadership to implement agency engineering policy, competency management processes, and surveillance operations processes for technical support.
Reviews Government technical specifications to help customers determine whether an item meets the legal definition of a "Commercial Item", whether the price is reasonable and commercially available alternatives to the item proposed by the seller.
Provides expert advice and consultation on and resolves unusually complex political and technical problems associated with contract management and surveillance.
Implements agency engineering policies and formulates, determines, and establishes Commercial Item Group procedures which support agency policy.
Provides technical input to agency engineering/pricing policy adoption.
