Patient Care Representative

Insight Global is seeking a front-office Patient Care Representative to support a high-volume Women's Health/Gynecology specialty for one of our healthcare clients. This person will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting both front desk operations and administrative workflows in a fast-paced clinical environment. Responsibilities include:
• Greeting and checking in patients; verifying demographics and insurance
• Collecting copays, balances, and ensuring insurance eligibility
• Managing phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient portal messages
• Working out of Athena EMR to manage inboxes, scheduling, and patient communication
• Coordinating follow-ups, referrals, testing, and imaging appointments
• Handling patient requests (forms, prescriptions, medical records, etc.)
• Monitoring provider schedules and communicating delays/no-shows
• Supporting patient portal setup and general patient education
• Escalating clinical questions appropriately to care teams
Required Skills & Experience
• 2-3+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
• Strong customer service and patient-facing experience
• Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, and copay collection
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multitasking
• Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Athena (EMR system)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
• Prior experience in Women's Health, OB/GYN, or specialty practice
• Experience in a start-up team or brand-new role
