Service Assistant

Hendrick Lexus Northlake – 10830 Northlake Auto Plaza Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269 Summary Responsible for identifying and documenting service, maintenance, and repair services for customers, and scheduling them for completion. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greets customers in the service drive area and assists them with checking vehicles in for service. Assists the Service Advisor in working with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance. May advise customers on necessary and recommended services and offer additional services and repairs. Assists with moving vehicles and customer-facing documentation. Reviews documentation with customers, processes payment, and returns keys after services are completed. Schedules appointments with customers. Maintains CSI at or above company standards. Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area. Participates in required training. Records all hours accurately in the company timekeeping system. Follows safeguards rules and regulations and demonstrates the company’s core values. Complies with company policies and procedures and observes all safety rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Up to 3 years of experience in automotive or customer service industries. Basic knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles. Certificates and Licenses Valid Driver’s License. Computer Skills Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of the dealership management system and other web‑based applications used for operations. Communication Skills Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Attendance Expectations The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical and Environmental Demands The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit. May be exposed to vehicle noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions.
