Skilled Production Operator - Geneva, IL As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for production packaging and processing machine operations, sanitation, and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Shift Hours 8-hour shifts: 1st shift 6:45 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift 2:45 pm – 11:00 pm, 3rd shift 10:45 pm – 7:00 am. Currently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift. Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Pay $21.63 per hour Shift differential: +$1.00 per hour for 2nd Shift, +$2.00 per hour for 3rd Shift Overtime pay and overtime work opportunities. Benefits 120 days of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays. 48 hours paid sick and emergency time. 401(k) with company match and annual contribution. Perform detailed operational tasks: Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment; partner with maintenance staff to resolve issues. Calibrate processing and/or packaging systems to meet required specifications. Operate and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. Perform all necessary quality checks. Complete required documents in a timely and accurate manner. Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance. Assist in training new employees. What you have to offer Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Experience in machine/equipment operation. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred. Mechanical/technical experience in manufacturing or related field preferred. Forklift and/or other POV license/certification and/or willingness to obtain one. Physical requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting. Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms. Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required. Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment. Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions.
