We protect the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to Firmwide risk management and risk reduction.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technology leader to lead the global General Ledger Reference Data organization within Finance Technology, partnering with the Global Finance Lead. The role will be responsible for setting strategy, delivering technology solutions, and developing a high‑performing engineering team. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader who blends strong Finance domain knowledge with technical depth and modern engineering practices. The GLRD technology team is global organization.The ideal candidate would be a forward‑thinking, hands‑on technology leader who brings deep Finance understanding, strong engineering skills, and passion for using modern data and AI to transform how Finance operates at Morgan Stanley.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyDay to day management of the GLRD Technology teamDefine and execute the technology strategy for the global GLRD organizationPartner closely with the Head of Finance Reference Data leadership on priorities, requirements, and transformation initiativesDrive modernization of GLRD systems, workflows, and data through engineering excellence, automation, and AIBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing global teamDevelop the GLRD Technology teamExecution & DeliveryOversee architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of GLRD platformsEnsure system scalability, data quality, resiliency, and operational controlPromote best practices in workflow automation, DevOps, and data engineeringRequired SkillsFinance Domain Expertise. Experience in Finance Technology.
