We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher for a W2 hourly contract role, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference every day. Based at a welcoming high school, you'll work alongside an experienced and supportive district team that values collaboration and innovation in special education.
This position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 10, 2027, with student hours from 8:10 AM to 2:40 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week. As a valued educator, you will deliver targeted support, develop individualized strategies, and foster growth in students who benefit tremendously from your expertise and dedication.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive and engaging classroom environments
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated instruction
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support and accommodations to students with autism
- Design and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual learning needs
- Monitor student progress, collecting data for effective IEP updates and meetings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Foster a positive, structured setting that nurtures student confidence and growth
