Make a difference in the lives of K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive, close-knit school community. This full-time, long-term substitute opportunity near Northeast Minneapolis offers a rewarding contract position from September 8, 2026, through December 18, 2027. Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education teaching license; Tier 3 or 4 preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support and differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Experience in K-8 settings a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and maximizing each student’s potential

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ strengths and areas of growth
• Deliver engaging instruction that supports both academic and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
• Provide behavioral and academic interventions as needed
• Foster a safe and welcoming learning environment
• Encourage independence and self-advocacy in students
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as required

You’ll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM, working 38.75 hours weekly on a W2 contract basis. Earn between $38–$43/hour while receiving comprehensive healthcare benefits.
