Product Designer

Description: Work with Google AI engineers and researchers to build cutting edge prototypes for AI image, video, and music tools for creative professionals. You will be implementing snappy, performant, beautiful user interfaces for AI video, image, and audio generation and manipulation. You have a keen eye for detail, and want to make everything we do look, feel, and work at Google standards. You know how to design user product flows that are efficient and engaging. You’ll own a hit list of features we need to invent and implement, ensuring the highest quality user experience. You’ll be asked to generate thoughtful solutions to emerging challenges, partnering with Creative Technologists, Engineers, PMs, and creative practitioners to ensure prototypes address their needs. You’ll use your depth of experience to quickly become a trusted collaborator within a world class cross-functional team, with highly effective communication across stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Exploratory design: UX/HCI for current and upcoming GenMedia innovations that showcase generative model capabilities in novel and useful creative tools, to inform cross-functional prototyping, AI model research and product strategy. Develop and apply new design systems, visual styles and interaction patterns to align with user expectations. Design delivery: Extremely high quality UI/UX wireframes, mockups, motion graphics (static, animated and/or interactive) to effectively communicate interaction and visual design ideas and specs. User research: Support UX Research, collecting and synthesising feedback into shareable reports; execute design iterations based on learnings and cross-functional prioritisation. Collaborate closely: Work with product & engineering to define, execute, and launch experimental products that gain traction with creative professionals, influencing Google’s AI research and product roadmaps Stakeholder management: Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations. Lead on design reviews with different stakeholders with a strong ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, etc.), Human-Computer Interactions (HCI) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years delivering designs for user-facing products from concept to launch 2+ years experience designing with AI models in mind Highly adept communicator and collaborator in cross-functional teams Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ideal candidate will be able to code: Typescript, (Lit, React, Angular) Backend experience (sql, firebase, Google cloud) is a huge plus. HTML, CSS, and Typescript preferred Interaction & visual design skills, knowledge of the user-centered design process & design tools — expert with Figma and able to create clickable motion prototypes Nice to have: Experience working with Machine Learning APIs such as ChatGPT API, Vertex, Google APIs, experience with authentication like OAuth, Python and colab notebooks. #J-18808-Ljbffr YunoJuno
