Ground Physical Therapist

We are seeking a Ground Physical Therapist for inpatient rehabilitation. This role involves working with adults and geriatric patients. The therapist will engage with all levels of spinal cord injury and various neurological disorders. A minimum of one weekend per month is required. There is no floating or on-call duty in this position. The daily patient census ranges from 15 to 22. The therapist will use adaptive devices and equipment for patient mobility and rehabilitation. Skills required include gait training, assessment, and developing home exercise programs. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential for optimal patient care. The role includes documenting patient progress and maintaining safety and injury prevention standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and the ability to create comprehensive plans of care. This position requires a focus on patient family education and discharge planning. Candidates will handle varying conditions including multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury. The work environment expects adherence to patient safety protocols and effective communication.
