Your Role on the Expedition:

The Office & EHS Coordinator will oversee the safety of employees while on company premises, and the office environment, manage office tasks and communications, and assist upper management with key functions. Additionally, this role will help coordinate as a mail room point of contact for vendors/contractors pertaining to the office. The main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance with and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety Administration guidelines to prevent work-related injuries.

Chart Your Course:

• Ensure adequate office supplies and kitchen/breakroom supplies are available for general use
• Assist with preparation of meetings, including meeting/conference room cleanliness, food orders and guest badges
• Develop and manage office-related vendors and building management relationships
• Assist with office-related purchasing, vendor coordination, invoice review, and tracking of supplies, event expenses, and other operational needs
• Ensure compliance of Visitor Sign-In/NDA Process Management
• Coordinate any necessary building maintenance or cleaning with building management or vendors
• Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events.
• Facilitate Fire/Emergency Response Plan training and execution
• Conduct safety observation reports/Safety checklists regularly.
• Investigates accidents that occur onsite, identifies possible causes, and determines short term and long-term solutions using the company’s incident management tool
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims tied to health & safety
• Work with the Employee Engagement Manager to coordinate employee engagement and in-office events, including event logistics, room setup, catering, supplies, communications, and day-of support
• Other duties as assigned
• Pay range: non-exempt, $24-31.00/hr

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
• Team player with positive attitude to help cultivate and promote a collaborative environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to interface with executives – internal and external.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 - covers general safety and health hazards for entry-level workers.
• OSHA 30 - course provides a greater variety of safety subjects and in-depth, industry-specific training and is intended for supervisors and workers with safety and health responsibility.

Position Coordinates:

This role 100% onsite, based out of our San Diego, CA office.

Time for Take-off:

While there is some flexibility in the hours, this position will be Monday-Friday during regular business hours (approximately 8:00am-5:00pm). Occasional overtime may be required according to business need.
