Medical Front Desk

Orange Park, FL* North Florida Surgeons - Clay County Description: If you are a people person who wants to help patients feel welcome while supporting the success of a medical office, then the medical front desk position is the job for you! A medical front desk team member is responsible for being the first point of contact as patients come into our office. They greet patients, collect their information and payments, answer any questions, schedule appointments from referrals and verify insurance information. Organization and efficiency are a must. Duties to include: Communicate with patients to set up and schedule optimal appointment times Input referral into system and schedule Gather and track medical information from patients Organize and input data into electronic health records Acquire and process patients' health insurance Support office with administrative and secretarial tasks Communicate with internal office team and providers to ensure patients are helped and everyday tasks are accomplished Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations Skills & Qualifications Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to multi-task on a daily basis Strong knowledge of medical language and health insurance plans A high school diploma or GED Previous medical office or receptionist experience #J-18808-Ljbffr North Florida Surgeons
