Mount Vernon, Ohio is located approximately one hour north of Columbus in Knox County and offers a mix of outdoor recreation and cultural activity. The 250-acre Ariel Foundation Park features three lakes, nearly 5 miles of paths, and an observation tower built on the site of a former glass factory. The Emergency Medicine Physician Associate will provide clinical coverage during day and night shifts in a 17-bed Emergency Department in Mount Vernon, Ohio, working scheduled 10 to 12-hour shifts. Clinicians will independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all age groups presenting with a variety of urgent and emergent conditions. The Physician Associate will work alongside physicians and other APPs in a collaborative coverage model supporting approximately 25,000 to 26,000 ED visits annually. No call responsibilities are associated with this assignment, and board certification and prescriptive authority are not required.
