Sr. Accountant

The Position: We’re looking for a full-time Sr. Accountant at our office in Hamilton Lakes Business Park at 500 Park Blvd, Suite 1400, Itasca, IL. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for assisting managers and partners with tax work, general accounting for small to medium sized businesses, financial closing and reporting cost accounting, account reconciliations, and other various accounting functions. Successful candidate will have e xposure to a variety of areasto determine best fit long-term including: Tax - Closely held Corporations - C and S Corps Tax - Partnershipsand Not for Profits Tax - Individual (business owners, High Net Worth, or High Earners Not Rich Yet – HENRY) Tax – Trust, Gift and Estate returns Tax planning for all the above Monthly and quarterly financial preparation for small and medium sized businesses Requirements: A strong candidate possesses an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn and participate in a growing firm. 2-5 years’ experiencein public accounting preferred CPA preferred or eligible and ready to take exam Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong verbal and written communication skills High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges Responsibilities: Tax – closely held corporations and partnerships; individual, and trusts Accounting – Compilations and monthlyclose for clients Assistin budget planning, cash flow projections, KPI tracking Project work as needed Competitive pay and bonus Reimbursement for CPA exam study materials and exam (if applicable) 401k Health, vision, and dental insurance Unlimited PTO CPE paid Casual dress code – dress for your day (jeans allowed) Cell reimbursement Pendulum Partners CPA, Itasca, IL, is a growing, full-service financial firm dedicated to building relationships both with clients and the community.
