Job Details Location: Tacoma, Washington Setting: Labor & Delivery / Birth Center Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Assignment Length: 16 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,800 - $2,940 Shift Duration: 10-hour nights Hours Per Week: 40 Start Date: September 21, 2026 End Date: January 9, 2027 On-Site: Yes Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Labor & Delivery experience At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required High-acuity OB experience preferred, including labor management and high-risk deliveries Experience triaging obstetric patients and reading/interpreting fetal monitoring strips Ability to circulate in the OR and assist with cervical checks Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) certifications EPIC experience required Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a busy clinical environment Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients Support high-acuity births including C-sections, inductions, preterm labor, and postpartum hemorrhage cases Assist with transition and recovery of newborns following vaginal and cesarean deliveries Monitor fetal tracings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and the broader support team Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow established unit protocols Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-moving birth center environment Why Tacoma?
