Clients need more than traditional reports and disconnected analytics tools—they need an integrated experience that makes it easy to access trusted data, understand what is happening, uncover why it is happening, and determine what action to take next.This executive will lead the evolution of ADP’s Reporting and Analytics capabilities into a unified, intelligent data experience embedded across ADP’s global Human Capital Management solutions. The platform will bring together operational reporting, dashboards, visualization, advanced analytics, benchmarking, natural-language exploration, and AI-powered insights—enabling clients to move seamlessly from a business question to a trusted answer and, ultimately, to informed action.The VP will be responsible for the technology vision, architecture, development, delivery, and operation of this strategic platform. The role requires a leader who can modernize a large-scale global platform while continuing to deliver reliable capabilities to clients who depend on ADP every day.The VP will lead a global, diverse, multidisciplinary organization spanning software engineering, data engineering, architecture, user experience, quality engineering, and production operations. This leader will work closely with Product Management, Data Science, AI, Security, Infrastructure, and ADP Business Unit leaders to create a common platform that meets the unique needs of ADP’s HCM products while delivering a consistent and integrated client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership: Help shape ADP’s enterprise data, reporting, analytics, and AI strategy, ensuring technology investments align with client needs, business priorities, and ADP’s long-term growth objectives.Unified Reporting and Analytics Vision: Lead the creation of an integrated experience that brings together reporting, dashboards, visualization, analytics, benchmarking, insights, and AI-powered exploration. Enable users to move naturally from understanding what happened to why it happened, what may happen next, and what action they should take.Platform Strategy and Roadmap: Partner with Product Management and Business Unit leaders to define and execute a multiyear platform roadmap, including modernization priorities, shared capabilities, adoption milestones, and measurable business outcomes.Enterprise Platform Development: Build reusable, scalable platform services that can be embedded across ADP’s HCM products while accommodating differences in data models, client segments, geographies, regulatory environments, and user needs.Reporting Modernization: Evolve traditional reporting capabilities into a modern, intuitive, self-service experience that simplifies report creation, improves discoverability, reduces complexity, and enables clients to access trusted information more quickly.Analytics and Insights: Expand the platform’s capabilities beyond traditional reporting to include interactive analytics, visual exploration, benchmarking, forecasting, recommendations, and actionable workforce insights.AI and Agentic Experiences: Advance the use of generative and agentic AI to allow clients and associates to interact with data using natural language. Ensure AI-generated answers are accurate, explainable, appropriately governed, and grounded in trusted enterprise data.Semantic Data Strategy: Lead the development of a common semantic layer that translates complex HCM data into consistent business concepts, metrics, and relationships. Ensure that reporting, analytics, and AI experiences use common definitions and deliver consistent answers.Engineering Excellence: Build and mentor a world-class engineering organization focused on scalable architecture, secure development, automation, observability, maintainability, and continuous improvement.Architecture and Technology Strategy: Establish the architecture for a cloud-enabled, API-first, metadata-driven Reporting and Analytics platform capable of supporting large data volumes, complex queries, global scale, and near-real-time experiences.Data Trust, Governance, and Security: Partner with enterprise data, privacy, legal, and security leaders to ensure appropriate data lineage, access controls, auditability, retention, privacy, residency, and regulatory compliance. Build client confidence by making insights transparent, explainable, and traceable to trusted sources.Client Experience: Champion an intuitive, accessible, and consistent experience across ADP products. Apply user-centered design principles to reduce complexity and make sophisticated data capabilities usable by practitioners, managers, executives, analysts, and employees.Business Unit Partnership: Collaborate with leaders across ADP’s businesses to understand product-specific needs, establish shared priorities, drive adoption, and balance enterprise standardization with differentiated market requirements.Customer and Market Alignment: Engage with clients, prospects, Sales, Service, Implementation, and Marketing to understand evolving needs, validate platform direction, and identify opportunities to strengthen ADP’s competitive position.Operational Excellence: Maintain a high standard of platform availability, performance, resilience, and supportability. Establish service-level objectives, proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and disciplined incident and problem-management practices.Product and Delivery Execution: Lead all phases of development—from discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement—while maintaining transparency around progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.Quality and Compliance: Establish comprehensive quality engineering practices that include automated testing, performance validation, security testing, data-quality controls, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.Value Realization: Define and measure outcomes such as client adoption, time to insight, report completion time, platform performance, client satisfaction, support-effort reduction, implementation efficiency, and revenue enablement.Risk Management: Proactively identify architectural, operational, security, data, delivery, and adoption risks. Work across organizational boundaries to resolve issues before they affect clients or strategic commitments.Talent and Organizational Leadership: Attract, develop, and retain exceptional global talent. Create an inclusive, accountable culture in which leaders and associates understand the mission, collaborate effectively, and are empowered to deliver meaningful outcomes.Innovation and Continuous Learning: Promote experimentation, technical upskilling, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies. Create a culture that balances innovation and speed with the reliability, security, and trust required of an enterprise HCM platform.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline. A master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced experience is preferred.At least 15 years of progressive experience in software or product development, including 5–8+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing large, global, multidisciplinary organizations.Demonstrated experience developing and operating enterprise-scale reporting, business intelligence, analytics, data, or AI platforms.Proven success modernizing complex platforms while maintaining continuity, reliability, and performance for existing clients.Deep understanding of modern data architectures, semantic models, metadata management, APIs, cloud platforms, data pipelines, analytical processing, visualization, and distributed systems.Experience delivering integrated reporting and analytics experiences across multiple products, business units, client segments, or geographic markets.Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural-language interfaces, and agentic architectures, including the governance and controls required to deliver accurate and explainable AI-powered insights.Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, security, lineage, access control, regulatory compliance, and responsible AI practices.Proven record of leading globally distributed engineering teams and delivering secure, highly scalable, available, and resilient enterprise software.Experience overseeing end-to-end production operations, including service reliability, observability, performance management, incident response, capacity planning, and continuous improvement.Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and align stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, Security, Sales, Marketing, Service, Implementation, and Customer Success.Experience in Human Capital Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, financial technology, or another domain that manages complex, sensitive, and highly regulated enterprise data is strongly preferred.Job RequirementsLeadership CapabilitiesStrategic Thinking: Develops and executes a compelling long-term vision while translating strategy into clear priorities, investments, and measurable outcomes.Technology Leadership: Demonstrates the technical judgment to guide architecture, evaluate emerging technologies, and make sound decisions regarding modernization, scale, security, and platform sustainability.Client-Centric Innovation: Begins with the client problem and creates simple, trusted experiences from complex technology and data ecosystems.Data-Driven Decision-Making: Uses quantitative and qualitative evidence to establish priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, measure progress, and adapt strategy.Enterprise Collaboration: Builds alignment across organizational boundaries and balances the needs of individual businesses with the benefits of shared enterprise capabilities.Transformation Leadership: Leads effectively through ambiguity, establishes clarity amid complexity, and sustains momentum through multiyear organizational and technology transformation.Operational Discipline: Maintains a relentless focus on quality, reliability, performance, security, and the client experience.Talent Development: Builds strong leadership teams, develops future leaders, creates inclusive environments, and holds the organization accountable for both results and behaviors.This is an opportunity to lead one of ADP’s most strategic technology platforms and redefine how clients interact with workforce data.
