Our outstanding teachers, support staff members and leaders are top-notch educators whom others seek to emulate, and quite simply – we would like for you to consider joining us.General Description:Provides administrative and secretarial assistance and oversees the effective operations of the office; performs a variety of moderately complex work within established procedures and standard practices; possesses knowledge of district policies and procedures; works under general supervision and requires coordination with leadership, and may require handling of sensitive information or dealing tactfully with the public; requires considerable judgment and knowledge of confidentiality.Job Description:PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FY27 RATES.Essential Job Functions:Performs secretarial and administrative work required to ensure the efficient operation of the office, including confidential correspondence; performs time and attendance and payroll procedures and assists drivers with questions related to insurance, payroll and benefits; maintains employee database and verifies and tracks personnel actions; orders and maintains office supplies. assists with developing and publishing a newsletter for drivers; performs office bookkeeping functions related to billing and collections;Screens visitors, telephone calls, incoming mail; responds to public, students and staff regarding a variety of matters related to student transportation operations and policies; personally answers inquiries which in the employee's judgment do not require the supervisor's attention;Prepares periodic reports as requestedPerforms other related duties as assignedBudgetary Responsibility :Maintains the office budget and monitors regularly.Report Preparation :Prepares reports reflecting time and attendance for each pay period; researches and prepares reports as needed.Equipment Operation :Office equipment such as computer, printer, adding machine, copier, facsimile machineContacts:Frequent contact with various levels of the organization, as well as external vendors and the general publicWork Direction / Supervision :N/ADecision Making:Performs majority of tasks independently within established procedures and standard practices. Seeks supervisory advice and guidance as necessary.Formal Policy-Setting Responsibilities :N/APhysical Demands :Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to use a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal indoor levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly; physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds; to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.Work Environment:The employee regularly works in an office environment. The noise level is quiet to moderate.Qualifications :Considerable knowledge of office operations and procedures; business English and mathematics and office equipment to include manual and automated filing systems. Working skill in the use of a personal computer, utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
