Public Relations Coordinator

R\\West is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive PR Coordinator to join our growing public relations team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience who is eager to launch or grow a career in public relations while learning from an experienced team of communications professionals. We're looking for someone who enjoys keeping projects moving and takes pride in being the person who keeps all the details organized. You'll work alongside experienced account leaders to support integrated communications programs across a variety of industries while developing your understanding of media relations, client service, campaign execution, strategic communications, influencer marketing, events and celebrity seeding. In this role, you'll help coordinate the day-to-day operations of our communications department, supporting client accounts by managing timelines, scheduling meetings, organizing media lists, tracking coverage, coordinating shipping and logistics, supporting events, maintaining project documentation, and assisting with campaign execution. Core Responsibilities Account Coordination & Administration Provide day-to-day administrative support across the communications team. Maintain trackers, editorial calendars, status reports, media lists and other account documentation. Schedule client meetings, internal meetings and team check-ins. Prepare meeting agendas, capture notes, and distribute action items. Help ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and moving forward. Campaign & Logistics Support Coordinate product shipments, sample requests, influencer mailings, and media outreach logistics. Assist with planning and executing media events, press previews, trade shows, and brand activations. Manage vendor coordination, shipping schedules, RSVP tracking, and event materials. Support campaign reporting by gathering media coverage, compiling results, and maintaining delivery reports Assist with research projects and campaign preparation. Media & Communications Support Build and maintain media and influencer lists. Monitor media coverage, industry news, and client mentions. Assist with drafting media lists, briefing materials, fact sheets, and other supporting documents. Help maintain media databases and organize campaign assets. Support earned media outreach under the guidance of senior team members. Team Collaboration Work closely with Account Executives, Account Supervisors, and Directors to support integrated communications programs. Partner with PR, social media, creative, paid media, and digital teams to keep projects running smoothly. Take ownership of assigned tasks while proactively communicating progress and asking questions. Look for opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and continue learning every day. What should I bring coming in? Candidates should have: 1-2 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, marketing, events, or a related field. Agency experience or relevant internships are a plus. Outstanding organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience coordinating schedules, timelines, logistics, or events. Confidence working with spreadsheets, trackers, databases, and project management tools. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and eagerness to support a collaborative team. Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions and seek guidance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Interest in public relations, media, communications, influencers, and storytelling. Located in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut within commuting distance of R\\West's Manhattan office. Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000 depending on market and experience. Our New York office operates on a hybrid schedule, with team members working in the office 2-3 days per week and 1-2 days per week from home, depending on role and responsibility.
