Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Burn Intensive Care Unit Duration: 9 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required. Minimum 1 year of critical care experience preferred. License: California RN License required. Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS ABLS CCRN preferred CBRN preferred Must-Have: Candidate must be able and willing to float to different facilities as needed. COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Description: The role involves providing critical care to patients in a burn unit setting. Candidates should have experience in arterial line management and blood product administration. The position requires knowledge in infection prevention and management of multi-system organ dysfunction and failure. Skills in phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration, and ventilator management are essential. The daily census in the unit is approximately 10 patients. Care will be provided to a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates are expected to provide support and care for ventilated patients. The position may involve reassignment to different departments or units as needed. Must have prior travel experience within the last 12 months. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
