Position Overview We are seeking a driven Commercial Sales Engineer to support and grow our customer base in the Twin Cities market. This role combines technical expertise with relationship‑focused sales, delivering reliable solutions across mechanical systems. The Commercial Sales Engineer will play a key role in building long‑term partnerships, supporting our expansion, and upholding Ellingson’s reputation for quality, integrity, and service excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers while actively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities through outreach and networking. Identify and pursue new sales opportunities throughout the Twin Cities market by estimating and selling replacement equipment and retrofit projects, preparing accurate proposals, and managing all opportunities within the CRM system. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and support both light commercial new construction and retrofit opportunities across all trades. Stay current on equipment, codes, and available rebates or grant opportunities, consistently tracking, reporting, and achieving established sales goals and performance metrics. Key Qualifications Strong customer acquisition of new customers by means of cold calling, email, and other strategic methods. Good customer service and relationship‑building skills. Establish relationships with local general contractors. 5+ years of commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical experience. Strong estimating and system‑design capabilities. Results‑driven with excellent organization and follow‑through. Effective communicator with strong relationship‑building skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Knowledge of commercial codes, systems, and applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience. Three different health insurance plans.
