Slitting machine operator

A manufacturing facility in Columbia, SC is looking for an Slitting Machine Operator looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This will operate off the 1st shift schedule Monday-Friday. Slitting Machine Operating or Machine Operator Helper experience required!

salary: $51,999 - $52,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
• Monitor process variables to ensure all products meet required performance and quality standards.
• Load raw materials and unload finished goods according to bill of materials and product specifications.
• Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs.
• Meet daily output goals by adhering to production schedules.
• Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

• Slitting Machine Operator (4 years of experience is preferred)
• Machine Helper (7 years of experience is preferred)
• Machine Operator (6 years of experience is preferred)
• Tape Industry Experience (3 years of experience is preferred)

Qualifications

• Years of experience: 5 years
• Experience level: Experienced
