RN Unit Manager

The Registered Nurse Unit Manager, RN oversees clinical and personnel operations on a long-term care unit, providing supervision, guidance, and coordination of resident care in compliance with state regulations. Responsibilities supervising staff and assigning tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) performing resident assessments and developing individualized care plans monitoring safety and infection control protocols conducting daily resident rounds and communicating with interdisciplinary team members supporting residents and families with clinical issues orienting new staff and assisting in daily unit operations documenting resident observations and care activities ensuring staff adherence to safety standards and proper documentation performing other related duties as required. Qualifications include a graduate of an approved nursing program, current NYS RN or LPN license, with minimum three years' supervisory experience in a long-term care or related setting. Skills and qualities required are strong communication, good judgment in emergencies, computer literacy, and a genuine desire to work with the elderly and disabled.
