Additional benefits include a 401k retirement savings with employer match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay and an Employee Assistance Program.Job Summary:The Billing Solutions Coordinator is responsible for resolving incoming inquiries for Revenue Cycle Management/Patient Billing, which includes patient eligibility, benefits, billing, and collections questions related to patient/client care. The Billing Solutions team ensures prompt, courteous service to all customers: patients, vendors, health plans and clinic employees. This position is a remote role with the ability to sit within any US locality.Compensation: $20.00/hr with quarterly bonus potentialShift by time zone:8:30 am - 5:00 pm PST9:30 am - 6:00 pm MST10:30 am - 7:00 pm CST11:30 am - 8:00 pm ESTResponsibilities:Handle Revenue Cycle department interactions via phone (Inbound and Outbound), email, voicemail, faxes, and patient portal utilizing exemplary customer serviceCommunicate with offices and patients to ensure current informationProcessing payment requests from patientsAccurately updating insurance plan and other portal information for patients as requestedSupport leadership with daily, weekly monthly reporting needs as requiredAnswer patient questions, inquiries, and concerns regarding their accounts and/or about centersWork with patients and providers to resolve account challenges and communicate appropriate next steps for troubleshootingIdentify potential revenue cycle challenges and escalates to departmental and/or leadership review as necessaryReview billing transactions for accuracy and to help resolve payment posting challenges on accountsSkills & Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred2+ years of experience in a call center environment; healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferredPrior experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs), Call Center and phone systemsMust have strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and EmailStrong understanding of major health insurance carriers (in and out-of-network)Knowledge of medical terminologyDemonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive patient informationDetail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentAbility to type fluentlyExcellent interpersonal skills and professional manner, specifically exhibiting empathy and compassion when interacting with patientsQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United StatesLifeStance is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected statusDemonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culturePhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
