MULTI-UNIT DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS – UPSCALE RESTAURANTS

Charlotte, NC
$110,000–$130,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus

This Multi-Unit Director of Operations position offers exactly that.

You will oversee five established restaurants located within the Charlotte market. The portfolio includes several distinctive upscale and polished-casual concepts, giving you the opportunity to lead restaurants with individual personalities rather than managing a collection of identical units.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will lead and develop the General Managers responsible for five restaurants while maintaining the individual identity and guest experience of each concept.

Your success will be measured by the strength of your leaders and the performance of your restaurants. You

• Strengthen leadership teams and create succession plans
• Improve sales, profitability, labor, food cost, retention, and guest satisfaction
• Raise hospitality and culinary standards across the portfolio
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions
• Create consistency where it matters while preserving what makes each restaurant distinctive
• Partner with senior leadership on business performance and long-term strategy
• Stay visible and connected without becoming the acting General Manager of every location

This role is designed for an accomplished restaurant operator who still enjoys being in the restaurants but is ready to lead through other leaders. You know how to evaluate a business beyond the numbers. Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Proven multi-unit restaurant leadership experience
• Experience overseeing and developing multiple General Managers
• A strong background in upscale, polished-casual, or high-volume full-service restaurants
• Working knowledge of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
• Demonstrated success improving financial and operational performance
• Strong P&L, labor, food-cost, and sales-building experience
• A leadership style that combines accountability with coaching and development
• The presence and communication skills to work effectively with restaurant teams and senior leadership
