Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. This opportunity is located in Watertown, NY at a hospital setting. The role requires working within an operating room environment and collaborating under the direct supervision of an RN to assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification from NBSTSA or NCCT (NBSTSA or NCCT certs only). This is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist with scrubbing experience in an operating room setting.
• Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience required.
• Experience with Da Vinci robotic systems required.
• Previous travel experience preferred; candidate must have travel experience.
• Experience in sterilization, cleaning, and disinfection of operating room instruments and equipment.
• Approved pharmacology course or prior medication experience and successful completion of a medications exam.
• Ability to function under RN supervision and perform routine and delegated duties according to hospital and department standards.
• May be asked to precept new staff; prior precepting or training experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a certified OR/Surg Tech in a surgical environment preferred.
• Experience in trauma or high-acuity hospital settings preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0700-1500.
• Schedule: 5x8.
• Weekend, call, and holiday coverage required.
• Candidate may be required to float to other facilities within the client's radius.
