Benefits Coordinator (Contract, 3-4 months)

Job Details Location: Onsite with our client in Irvine, CA Compensation: $30-$35 per hour Schedule: Full-time, onsite Department: Human Resources About the Role Our client, a well‑established organization in Irvine, is looking for a detail‑oriented Benefits Coordinator to support their HR team during a 3‑4 month assignment. This individual will handle day‑to‑day benefits administration, carrier coordination, compliance support, and general employee inquiries. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a busy HR department and support employees during a high‑volume period. Key Responsibilities Analyze, audit, reconcile, and process monthly benefits invoices; track associated budgets. Process employee benefits reimbursements. Upload eligibility changes for new hires, promotions, and status changes to the medical reimbursement plan carrier. Participate in weekly meetings with carriers and maintain ongoing communication. Prepare reporting and assist with benefits‑related data for Finance. Fulfill ergonomics equipment requests. Review and approve employee enrollments, qualifying life events, audit eligibility, and process COBRA. Support ACA compliance activities in preparation for 1095‑C forms. Conduct benefits orientation for new hires. Monitor the Benefits inbox and respond to employee questions. Identify and resolve carrier file feed issues, error reports, and enrollment discrepancies. Complete affiliate benefits billing. Educate employees on their available benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans. Update and distribute compliance posters as needed. Perform other duties related to benefits administration as assigned by the HR team. Desired Experience Prior experience in benefits administration with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Strong attention to detail when managing benefits records, claims, and compliance tasks. Experience working with benefits brokers and external vendors. Key Skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service orientation and professionalism when supporting employees.
