Assistant Director of Sales Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seekinganAssistant Director of Sales.In this position,your primary objective is toassist the Director of Sales in overseeing and supporting the sales activity and production of the sales team to ensure theachievement of shared goals.The primaryobjectiveis tosolicit, develop, andmaintainaccounts in assigned market segments through direct sales efforts and to ensure budgeted financial results are achieved and exceeded. Key Responsibilities Assistin planning and executing strategies to drive group, event, and corporate bookings. Mentor sales staff, track performance, and guideteam members in achieving their goals. Build andmaintainrelationships with key clients and event planners. Oversee sales for conventions, weddings, retreats, andspecial events. Collaborate with operations, catering, and convention services for seamless guest experiences. MaintainCRM records, analyse sales data, and support budget and forecast planning. WhatWe’reLooking For Minimum5 years of hotel sales management experience, preferably at a property with over 500 guest rooms and at least75,000 square feetof event space. Proven success in developing, managing, and closing group business. At least two years of experience as a Senior Sales Manager, with a focus on: Building andmaintainingclient relationships Identifyingclient needs and providing tailored solutions Overcoming objections and effectively closing sales Exceptional verbal and written communication skillsarerequired. Demonstrated ability toestablishrapport with prospects, guide them through the sales process, and secure business efficiently.
