Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Lead Catering Chef with an eye for details to run our early morning kitchen operations for our catering and delivery program. This role is responsible for the preparation, execution, and packing of all catering orders, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely dispatch for daily deliveries.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and takes pride in precision, consistency and efficiency. This role will manage a small team of up to 10 people.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and execute all catering menu items to Friedman’s standards
Oversee and manage production for high-volume catering orders
Accurately pack, label, and organize orders for delivery and pickup
Ensure all orders are complete, properly portioned, and presentation-ready
Coordinate with drivers and management to ensure on-time dispatch
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment
Assist with prep, inventory, and ordering as needed
Uphold DOH standards and all food safety protocols

Qualifications

2+ years of kitchen experience in a high-volume environment (catering or commissary experience preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and efficiently during early morning hours
Experience with order management and packing logistics is a plus
Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented

Schedule & Compensation

Early morning shifts beginning at 4:00 AM
Full-time availability required
