Cornell Human Ecology (CHE) explores the complexity of human life, integrating disciplines to understand the full context of the human experience and improve lives at every scale. Our research and academic programs focus on the interaction of humans with their biological, economic, social, and physical environments, making use of Cornell’s extension network and translational research methods to deliver research directly to communities and families. The Lujan Laboratory in the Division of Nutritional Sciences investigates links between nutrition, metabolism, and fertility in women, with a focus on improving diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PMOS) across the reproductive lifespan. The Opportunity The Division of Nutritional Sciences seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to work under Dr. Marla Lujan. The coordinator will manage ongoing human clinical studies, lead participant recruitment and enrollment, coordinate procedures with the Human Metabolic Research Unit, and oversee image, sample, and data processing and repositories. The role requires facilitating communication with institutional research oversight entities such as the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance and the IRB, maintaining study compliance records, reporting to funding agencies, and providing training support to trainees. The position is full‑time, benefits‑eligible, and one‑year term appointment with possibility of renewal. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in biology, physiology, nutrition, or related field with at least 2 years of related experience (or equivalent). Experience in conducting clinical research and working with human research participants to obtain informed consent, collect data, and monitor safety. Experience writing or reviewing IRB protocols. Clinical database management experience (e.g., REDCap) and proficiency with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R). Experience applying medical terminology in clinical and research contexts. Experience managing databases, including data entry, organization, and maintenance. Ability to maintain a team‑oriented approach and cultivate positive workplace relationships. Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in professional settings. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience incorporating perspectives of multiple communities. Occasional weekend shifts may be required based on program needs. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and more than 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
