2nd Pressman

Adecco is seeking a 2nd Pressman for a manufacturing environment in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for the safe operation of the assigned printing press during daily press operation and press room procedures. Candidates must be able to follow technical instructions precisely and maintain reliable performance in a production setting.

What You Will Do?

• Follow instructions from the job ticket and support press setup according to the Press Operator.

• Assist in staging materials and maintaining communication about stock levels to avoid production downtime.

• Load paper lifts and make ready books, and verify guides and sheet detectors are working properly.

• Assist with register of image fit during make ready and throughout the production run.

• Monitor sheet consistency at the feeder and help maintain proper pull and register of sheet.

• Support checks of sheet pulls, ink levels, and run quantities during the production run.

• Clean blankets, cylinders, coatings, rollers, fountain trays, fountain solutions, and washing units.

• Keep the press and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and ready for continued workflow.

• Move stock, mark finished loads, and assist with inventory of ink, rags, and solvents.

• Check turned and winded loads, mark side guides, and verify damaged paper does not enter the press.

Your Skills

• Ability to follow instructions from a job ticket and support press setup according to production requirements.

• Ability to read and apply engineering requirements on a per job basis.

• Ability to carry out instructions and maintain a high level of quality in printed product operations.

• Strong interpersonal skills for working with fellow employees and customers in a production environment.

• Reliability demonstrated through attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.

• Willingness to engage in training related to press operation, pressroom standards, and technology.
