This position is responsible for setting up and operating the pad printing press and ensuring that print adjustments are made to maintain print quality, registration, and production speed. The Pad Printer will have a good understanding of ink and the printing plate requirements.

This position is responsible for setting up and operating the pad printing press and ensuring that print adjustments are made to maintain print quality, registration, and production speed. The Pad Printer will have a good understanding of ink and the printing plate requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Checks that sizes and quantities match CD/PDF and Job Ticket

Obtains required supplies to produce the job

Sets up and checks press to make sure job requirements are met

Checks the registration, ink viscosity, and color match the CD/PDF

Prints the job while maintaining optimum production speed and making press adjustments, as needed, to maintain print quality, registration, and color

Follows the company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and applicable laws

Maintains a clean workstation and press area

Experience & Education

Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

1-3 years of related experience and/or training

Combination of education and experience

Good judgement of color, design, and print quality

Skills

Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos

Able to write simple correspondences

Able to communicate effectively one-on-on and in groups with customers and other employees

Able to perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Reasoning Ability

Understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions

Problem solving

Physical Demands

Capable of using hands

Standing for long periods of time

Able to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for short periods of time

Able to regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds
