Health Safety Environment Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: Assisting in implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintaining safety equipment inventory, performing periodic safety inspections, monitoring hazardous waste removal vendors, and assisting in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Interacting with a variety of departments, conducting training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. Monitoring environmental compliance and maintaining liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Recommending corrective actions where environmental health and safety hazards exist. Interacting with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Associate’s degree plus three years of related experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental health and safety or related fields. Proven ability to identify risks, prevent injuries, and ensure regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence across teams. OSHA safety certification is required. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and hazard mitigation techniques. Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory, or construction safety. Data analysis and reporting expertise.
