Accounting Clerk

Work Arrangement: In-person - Canton, Ohio Position Type: Temporary/Contract Duration: Approximately 3–6 months Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour Benefits: Begin on Day 1 Position Overview Reliance One is hiring a detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Clerk to support a client’s finance and accounting team. This position will assist with daily accounting activities, including data entry, invoice processing, record maintenance, and basic account reconciliation. It is a great opportunity for someone with general office, administrative, or basic bookkeeping experience who would like to gain additional hands-on accounting experience. A college or accounting degree is not required. Responsibilities Enter financial and accounting information accurately into the accounting system. Organize, file, and maintain electronic and physical financial records. Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices using the three-way matching process. Assist with basic account reconciliations and identify discrepancies. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Respond to basic vendor and customer billing inquiries by phone and email. Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting and finance team. Maintain accurate and organized records while handling financial information appropriately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. No college or accounting degree required. Zero to one year of general office, administrative, bookkeeping, or accounting-related experience preferred. Entry-level candidates with transferable administrative skills will be considered. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new processes and systems through on-the-job training.
