Position Overview The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is seeking to fill Assistant Attorney General openings in our Workers’ Compensation Section, in the headquarters locations of Columbus and Cincinnati. The ideal candidates will preferably have two years of experience to be able to represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio in common pleas and/or the appellate courts and the Ohio Supreme Court. A candidate applying for this position should be able to manage a high-volume caseload. Responsibilities Case management Settlement evaluations and negotiations Motion practice Discovery (written and depositions) Trial and appellate court appearancesOccasionally administrative hearings Writing appellate briefs and/or oral advocacy This position will work a hybrid in‑person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Ohio and two years or more of experience working as an Attorney. Proven ability to handle high‑volume caseloads and strong communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.
