Federal Work Study- Family Resource Center

Job Summary:

The Family Resource Center, located on the 12th floor of the children’s hospital, is looking for student workers to assist the Child Life Department in supporting pediatric patients and their families. Responsibilities include visiting children and families in patient rooms, assisting in the maintenance of toys, games, and other child life supplies, and staffing the Family Resource Center to ensure availability of resources. Applicants must have excellent people skills and a genuine passion for interacting with pediatric patients and families.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a current student enrolled at Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Days:

Weekdays and Weekends - 8:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm, and 4:30pm-6:30pm

Weekend and evening coverage is the most needed.

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

$17 per hour
