For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.The Project Manager has mastery of analysis and investigation skills. He or she provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise. Candidate is fully proficient in the following aspects of project management:Core Accountabilities:Contribute and lead the development of program/project scope statements (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document), Project/Program Plans, Communication Plans and Status/Issue ReportingCoordinate and provide input on project/program schedule, budget, scope, benefit and qualityComplete and coordinate assigned project/program work on time and on budget with assigned resources.Develop/contribute to project budgets/forecasts, drive capture of project economics (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, capital planning, staffing impact analysis/assessment) and assist in obtaining approvals from applicable stakeholdersActively address issues, challenges and problems that arise during course of project/programEnsure application of quality objectives, criteria and standards using appropriate quality management methods in coordination with stakeholders. (e.g., key performance indicators, scope definition)Lead and support project/program success through implementation of best in class change management practices in consultation with applicable stakeholders and partnersContinually enhance skills and knowledge through new experiences, education and work assignments. Demonstrate experience appropriate mastery of skills and behaviors and seek feedback for improvement and focusEnsure development of relationships within team members and ensure effective communication in all applicable mediumsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma3+ years project management experience or similar experienceSolid communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and conciselyExcellent time management, organizational, prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple prioritiesAbility to gain acceptance for ideas, plans, actions and then implement across organizational boundariesAnticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet themExcellent facilitation and relationship building skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a cross matrixed enterprise environmentFamiliarity with Optum and Optum's products & servicesHealthcare experienceExperience with SmartSheet*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
