Collections Specialist
Marathon Electrical Contractors Inc
Accounts Receivable SpecialistAging Account Monitoring: Track and review accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue invoices and prioritize collection outreach.Customer Outreach: Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to request payment or discuss past-due balances.Dispute & Discrepancy Resolution: Research billing errors, short payments, chargebacks, and unapplied cash by partnering with Sales and Billing teams.Recordkeeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all collection communications, payment promises, and account statuses, while generating aging reports for management.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: High school diploma required; acquired or working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.Experience: 1 to 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and hands-on experience with ERP or accounting software.Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication.
