White Blossom Care Center is seeking an organized and detail-oriented, full-time Medical Records Assistant to join our healthcare team in San Jose, CA. We offer a wage of $18.00 - $19.00 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Overview- Position: Medical Records Assistant
- Schedule: Full-time (Monday - Friday)
- Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

- Chart Maintenance: Assemble, analyze, log, and file resident electronic and paper medical charts.
- Data Auditing: Review charts regularly to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Release of Information: Process authorized requests for medical records from families, physicians, and legal entities under strict HIPAA guidelines.
- Admissions & Discharges: Update electronic health records (EHR) accurately during resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Administrative Support: Assist the Medical Records Director with daily office operations, scanning, and digital archiving.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of office or clerical experience (experience in a medical office or skilled nursing facility is highly preferred).
- Skills: Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems (e.g., PointClickCare).
- Compliance: Solid understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations and data security.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
