Role Summary: Manage clerical and administrative functions for the medical equipment department. Support secretarial staff supervision and act as liaison with contractors and internal/external stakeholders.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee clerical activities and assist with non-nursing administrative tasks.
• Supervise and educate secretarial staff.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors and staff about department operations.
• Process purchase orders and assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses.
• Maintain department manuals, records, and correspondence flow.
• Perform secretarial duties including screening calls, typing, filing, and data gathering for reports.
• Attend and record minutes at departmental meetings.
• Demonstrate solid knowledge of supervisory responsibilities to support nurse/department managers.
• Prioritize workload and act independently to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma plus at least one year of college or business school training in secretarial procedures.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital settings.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is preferred.
• Excellent secretarial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
