Christian Response Representative - Inbound

Job Description Christian Response Representative – Inbound position. Responds to a variety of calls and inquiries generated by BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse with a positive, servant‑focused attitude, providing a customized and relationally focused experience in accordance with department procedures and standards. Key Responsibilities Listen to callers, assess their needs, and provide spiritually sensitive, creative solutions in a fast‑paced environment. Respond to calls with warmth, consistency, timeliness, tact and courtesy. Organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks in a high‑volume environment. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills. Study and learn departmental procedures, informational material, BGEA history, current events, and other information to effectively address caller needs. Attend all required BGEA Christian Response staff meetings. Analyze spiritual needs of callers, pray with them, and lead them to Christ when appropriate. Promptly evaluate caller needs and connect them to appropriate solutions or transfer to the correct department. Accurately record caller data into BGEA database systems, including mailing list changes, material requests, and credit card contributions. Additional Duties Participate in outbound call projects as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. Ministry Requirements Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and consistently witness for Him. Faithfully uphold BGEA in prayer. Participate in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading and leading group prayer as scheduled. Demonstrate behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations. Represent Jesus Christ positively in personal and professional circles. Qualifications & Skills General knowledge of BGEA and agreement with its philosophy and principles. Basic understanding of the Christian Response philosophy and principles. Solid, active Christian walk. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while on the phone and entering information on the computer. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and completing tasks in a high‑volume setting. Customer service and/or telephone experience helpful. Good basic math and spelling skills. Accurate listening skills and good telephone voice. Desire to be part of a team and to assist callers and BGEA staff. Cooperative, flexible, and optimistic about change. Minimum of 35 WPM typing speed. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Ability to multi‑task and troubleshoot general computer issues. Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills. Physical/Mental Demands Adherence to all BGEA policies and procedures. Confidence and composure when handling difficult and emotional callers. Respect confidentiality of sensitive information. Significant time may involve PC use while on phone. Working Conditions Standard cubicle environment with PC, phone, printer, and copier. Close interaction with colleagues.
