Christian Response Representative Associate

Job Summary This Associate position (no more than 19 hours per week) is part of the Donor Ministries Department of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. The role responds to calls generated by various BGEA projects, provides service to constituents, places outbound calls, and follows department procedures and standards. Responsibilities Answer incoming calls using the assigned login identification. Handle calls with dispatch and courtesy according to procedure and policy. Analyze caller needs, connect callers to appropriate solutions, and transfer to the specified department or area. Record caller data accurately in Christian Response database systems, including mailing list changes, material requests, and credit card contributions. Conduct outbound call projects as directed. Study department procedures, informational material, BGEA history, and current events to effectively communicate over the telephone. Respond to spiritual needs, pray with callers, and invite them to Christ when appropriate. Attend all required Christian Response staff meetings. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him. Faithfully uphold BGEA in prayer. Participate in daily BGEA staff devotions, including Bible reading and group prayer, as scheduled. Demonstrate behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations. Represent Jesus Christ effectively in personal and professional spheres of influence. Show cooperation, flexibility, and an optimistic attitude toward change. Skills & Knowledge General knowledge of BGEA and agreement with its philosophy and principles. Basic understanding and agreement with the Christian Response philosophy. Solid and active Christian walk. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously (talking on the phone while entering information). Customer service or prior telephone experience is helpful. Experience with PCs, Windows, and databases. Good basic math and spelling skills. Accurate listening and clear telephone voice. Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute. Physical/Mental Demands Flexible hours and overtime may be required. Nights and weekends may be required. Confidence and composure in handling difficult and emotional callers. Respect for and responsibility regarding confidential information. Significant time may be spent using the PC while talking on the telephone. Working Conditions Standard cubicle environment with a PC, phone, printer, and copier. Close interaction with other staff members. Time off requires supervisor approval.
