Executive Director

The client is seeking an Executive Director to advance its mission of inspiring effective philanthropy and helping local nonprofits achieve maximum impact. The organization is dedicated to strengthening the quality of life in Idaho’s Wood River Valley by connecting donors with community organizations that support essential programs and services. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead strategic planning and organizational leadership, including oversight of a small, high-performing staff and partnership with donors and nonprofit leaders to elevate local philanthropy. Key responsibilities include leading donor development, community partnerships, program strategy, and fiscal management to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability. The role focuses on serving as a trusted relationship builder and advisor—partnering with the Board, donors, and nonprofit organizations to identify and address pressing community issues, inspire effective giving, and guide the organization’s next chapter of impact. The Executive Director will also communicate transparently with the Board regarding progress toward goals and key metrics. Strategic priorities for the next Executive Director include expanding the donor base by engaging part-time residents, younger philanthropists, and community members new to giving, while deepening stewardship of existing high-capacity relationships. The Executive Director will elevate the client’s visibility and brand, lead the development of the next strategic plan in partnership with the Board, empower and mentor staff to foster trust and professional growth, and thoughtfully evolve the organization’s role as a community convener to bring stakeholders together around community needs such as childcare and workforce issues.
